Fabulous 1930’s Signed Tom Wilder Wood Block Print featuring a C

Fabulous 1930’s Signed Tom Wilder Block Print featuring a Northern Cardinal among the snow covered branches.
Wilder, a Listed American Artist has signed the piece as well as his signature stamp in red. No title is currently known for this piece and to my knowledge no other prints with this subject matter have come up for sale in recent years.

It’s absolutely beautiful. The gold winter sky perfectly offsets the shadowy snow covered branches and the lone Red Northern Cardinal seems to know he’s being admired.

It has been framed with brown velvet matting and protected with Museum Quality, glare-free Glass.

The frame measures at 8 5/8 x 9 1/4

Wilder, Thomas M. (1876 - 1956)

Thomas M. Wilder was born in 1876 in Cold Water, Michigan. He came to the Ravinia (Highland Park, Illinois) area in 1906. Mr. Wilder was to a large extent a self taught artist. He learned to paint while studying the works of great artists during his lunch hour. He was employed as a commercial artist. He was employed for twenty years by Motor Age an automotive publication. He taught art classes in his home and at the YMCA.
